August Amazon Haul

Hi friends –

It’s Brittany, b*tch. (Yes, Britney Spears is still my all-time favorite) Just in case you forgot who I was, since it’s been quite a few weeks since I’ve gotten to post. Yikes! I’m sorry ya’ll, but let me just tell you, life gets busy and sometimes things get pushed back. No biggie. Life is all about rolling with the punches, and I’m back in action this week! 

What a month it has been over here at the Peffer household, too. We recently got back from our family vacation in Stone Harbor, NJ. I have been going there my entire life. It was absolutely AMAZING and exactly the rest we needed. Some of my family is lucky enough to be able to go down there for two weeks. One day I will be there again, because I’m sorry but a one week vacation just doesn’t cut it anymore. Am I right?

We also just celebrated our three year wedding anniversary! WHAT!!! It’s so crazy to think that that much time has already flown by. What a blessing it has been for us! We seriously learn new things about each other, and life, everyday and I constantly find myself just staring at my husband, because I just love him so much. As someone who didn’t tie the knot until I was 29, let me just tell you that it is TOTALLY worth the wait.

And with our vacations and celebrations the last few weeks, I’ve also been indulging in a few amazing Amazon finds that I can’t wait to share! It’s funny how you prepare for vacation by buying all new things that you can wear or use. I remember going to Walmart as a kid and picking out all new makeup, and hair ties and all the things that I thought I needed. But not much has changed since then. I still do the same thing except from the comfort of my own home. And my parents no longer pay for it. #ADULTING

Soft Plush Fleece Slippers

I’ll be honest, I have so many pairs of slippers. Probably too many. But when I found these and tried them on for the first time I knew this would be the only pair of slippers I would ever need. They came in the cutest packaging and I love the color options. I went with grey, but plan on ordering the pink and mint green (just don’t tell Luke!). They are SO soft, guys! And they have a hard sole that is waterproof, so they are perfect for letting the dogs out, getting the mail, etc. You don’t have to worry about the bottoms soaking up any moisture when you come back inside. These are seriously one of my favorite finds this year.. So do yourself a favor and try them!

Turban Hair Band Bows

Guys, I cannot get over these headbands! They are so stinking cute! I’ve been wearing them non-stop since I got them – to workout, to clean, to cover up the fact that I need to wash my hair. They are super soft and fit my head perfectly. I have trouble with headbands sometimes because my head is shaped weird, I guess. Tighter bands tend to slip up in the back and I’m constantly having to fix them, but not with these. They stay put through everything. And for around $12 for a pack of eight, you can’t beat that!

Cascade Dishwasher Cleaner Pods

Okay, be honest with me here. How many of you clean your dishwasher? Even better, how many of you knew that there is a filter that should be taken out and cleaned every month that’s located at the bottom of your dishwasher? Seriously, I only discovered these things after at least a year of using our dishwasher. GROSS! When our dishes were starting to become spotty and just not feeling as clean as I expected, I did my research and found these lifesavers! They are so easy to use and I try to drop one in every 1-3 months, depending on how heavy we use the dishwasher. They help get all of that dirt and grime out of your washer, so your dishes come out squeaky clean again! You get an 8-pack for just around $8 – win!

Daisy Rose Checkered Crossbody Bag

This purse, ya’ll. If you are looking for a Louis dupe without the price tag, this is it. I can’t get over how much this looks like a designer bag without the insane price to go with it. It comes in three different colors, so I will definitely be purchasing the black! It fits the essentials for a night out or to go on vacation. And it looks super cute at the same time! I used this purse the entire time we were on vacation. I seriously would wear it everyday if it were just a little bit bigger. Highly recommend!

SweatyRocks Crop Top Sweatshirt

I live in workout/comfy clothes, so when I came across this find I was super excited! This crop top sweatshirt is the perfect balance between looking put together, but still staying comfy at the same time. I’m not a huge “crop top” person, however this hits at just the right spot where my entire belly isn’t hanging out. After reading through a lot of the reviews, I went with a Large. It fits perfectly! I have a short torso, but this hits mid-way between my pant line and belly button. And it’s cotton so it’s super soft! There are so many colors and styles to choose from, so I will definitely be ordering a few more!

Stainless Steel Electric Milk Frother

O.M.G. I can’t emphasize to you enough how AMAZING this thing is, ya’ll. It has forever changed the coffee game for us. Forget trying to add creamer, sugar or any other powdered substances to your coffee and having to worry about stirring like crazy until the dry chunks disappear. This electric frother will have everything mixed up within seconds. Not only that, it adds the best froth topping to your morning coffee (or afternoon, depending on how your day is going). I literally will never use a regular spoon again. And hello, it’s under $10. It makes me feel extra fancy in the morning and I absolutely LOVE it!

Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat

I have been looking at some ways to save some money here and there lately, and decided that I would try doing my own manicure at home instead of the nail salon. I will admit, it’s definitely less relaxing when you have to do it yourself, however the money and time I have saved by staying at home has been totally WORTH IT! I am loving the Sally Hansen Insta Dri polishes, which I normally get at Target. However, if you put on two coats, which is normally required, it still takes awhile for it to dry. Enter, Seche Vite. Guys, I used to work in a salon (I’m a licensed Esthetician) and this was all they used. I totally forgot about it until my cousin mentioned it. I am once again hooked and am so glad to have it. It helps your nails dry in a jiffy and keeps them strong! And for around $5.99, you’ll be reordering it constantly, trust me!
